Neurological disorders often result in cognitive impairments. However, information on the type and localization of brain damage do not suffice to assess the type and severity of the cognitive impairments. Only reliable and valid neuropsychological tests are able to carry out a differentiated assessment of cognitive function disorders and thus offer a sound basis for drawing up a treatment plan.
