Assesses the level of clinical anxiety. This self-assessment tool can be used for the differential assessment of anxiety disorders and sub-clinical anxiety and to differentiate between these and depressive symptoms. It provides useful information for the assessment of therapy indications and the progress of treatment.
One test form.
The respondent is shown descriptive statements about anxiety symptoms. He/she rates the intensity with which these symptoms have occurred during the past week, using a four-point answer scale. There is no time limit and the respondent can return to the preceding answer if he/she so wishes.

The following main variable is scored:
Total score – measure of subjectively experienced anxiety. The total score is used for rough classification – a rough division is made for overview purposes into four categories ranging from “minimal anxiety” to “clinically relevant anxiety”.
