Detailed Description+

Measures general cognitive ability based on logical reasoning with a focus on the lower performance range. The simply designed item material is easy to recognize visually and can therefore be presented up to an old age. In addition, the test can be carried out on sufficiently large tablets or with supervisor-supported instruction, if needed.

Therefore, the test is suitable for application in the following areas: clinical psychology and neuropsychology; human resources, particularly in the safety & security area as well as for occupational and organizational psychology assessment situations; education; and special fields of psychological assessment such as assessment of fitness to drive.

Test forms+

A test form is available that can be adapted individually depending on the use case. The test items of the BMT can be presented adaptively, randomized, or linearly depending on the setting. Easy, medium, and difficult forms are available for all three presentation types. There is an option to switch between classic and supervisor-supported instruction. In addition, the test duration and abort criteria can be defined individually.

Task+

The respondent's task is to add the missing sixth element in a 2x3 matrix with five abstract patterns or figures. For this purpose, a respondent finds out which rules the presented figures follow or according to which rules the patterns were created. The respondent then selects the matching element that completes the matrix from five proposed patterns/figures.
