Measures concentration and attention.
This special ability test makes it possible to measure how a respondent’s accuracy and speed vary over time. Because of the importance of this skill in many jobs, the test is used in personnel selection and development. It is suitable for use not only in academic testing and job & career placement but also in staff & management assessments and manufacturing & safety assessments.

Task+

The item material consists of abstract symbols, number combinations or letter combinations, depending on the subtest. The screen is always divided into two windows, in which the item material appears. In the left-hand window some of the elements shown are crossed out. The respondent’s task is to go through the material line by line and to highlight in the right-hand window all the elements that are crossed out in the left-hand one. He/She is instructed to work as quickly and accurately as possible for the given period of time.

Scoring+

The following main variables are scored:

  • Perceptual speed: Quantity of work performed.
  • Perceptual accuracy: Quality of work performed.

When assessing the quality of attention, the two variables must always be considered in combination since, for example, a fast working speed combined with many errors is often not advantageous.
