Learning and memory are two abilities that are key to human information processing. They are important basic functions in everyday life, in the context of learning and studying and at work. With regard to the outcome of learning, aspects of mental resilience and logical reasoning are also important.

Task+

LAMBDA-2 consists of two different task types. Items of the first type test the respondent’s learning ability. The respondent is required to remember various items of information; later he must reproduce this information or correct details that are shown incorrectly.

In items of the second type the respondent is presented with equations in which numbers are replaced by symbols. The respondent must identify what number is represented by a particular symbol. In a subsequent stage the respondent is presented with material from the items of the first type and asked to correct details that are incorrect.
