Assesses logical reasoning as an indicator of general intelligence.
The ability to identify regularities and draw logical conclusions is a very good predictor of long-term success at work. This special intelligence test is a further development of the SPM. It is therefore used successfully in personnel psychology and in investigations in the fields of clinical psychology and health psychology.
One test form.
The items are presented in increasing order of difficulty. An abstract pattern is displayed. One segment is missing and needs to be filled in. Later eight abstract patterns are displayed in a 3x3 matrix – the ninth pattern is missing and must be filled in. The respondent needs to identify the rules on which the pattern is based and then select the appropriate segment from the six or eight that are offered. Answers can be corrected, repeatedly if necessary.
