Detailed Description+

The TACO is a test for measuring attention and concentration. Since these are a very basic ability which is correlated with a large variety of behaviors, the application area of the TACO is very broad. The test was primarily developed for the human resources area and for professions in the area of safety assessment and manufacturing, in particular.

Task+

It is the respondent's task to find target stimuli in a matrix of nine stimuli per test page and to mark them. The stimuli to be marked are displayed above the stimulus matrix on every test page. The respondents are given 6 seconds to complete each test page.

Scoring+

The main variable "ability to concentrate" is reported for all test forms. This corresponds to the number of correctly answered symbols in the test. In addition, the two variables "Number of omitted reactions" and "Number of missed alarms" are reported. These variables indicate the type and number of errors in the test.
