Scoring+

The following main variables are scored:

  • Uncritical self-perception: Subjective assessment of one’s own driving ability and perception of one’s own physical and mental state.
  • Aggressive interaction: e.g. indicates the type of communication with other road users.
  • Emotional driving: Indicators of emotional and normative aspects of driving and the driver’s attitude to the vehicle.

The subsidiary variable Attitude to social conformity can be regarded as a type of control scale; it provides an indication of the way in which the questionnaire was answered and hence of the extent to which the other scale scores can be interpreted.
